Bioquell Healthcare Options: Tailored to your requirements
Bioquell's unique hydrogen peroxide vapour (HPV) decontamination technology is ideally suited for use in healthcare facilities due to its rapid, flexible and 'residue-free' nature. HPV has extensive, proven biological efficacy against a wide range of environmentally associated nosocomial pathogens, including Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Clostridium difficile, Vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE), Klebsiella, Acinetobacter and other problematic Gram negatives. HPV decontamination can be applied safely as part of an infection control programme even where expensive electronic equipment is situated. HPV decontamination has proven material compatibility so all equipment can be safely decontaminated in situ with no detrimental effect on performance or aesthetics. This is critical during the "deep clean" process where these areas have traditionally been hard to reach or where the decontaminants are incompatible with sensitive electronics, particularly chlorine-based products (including bleach). Bioquell products and services have been developed for the bio-decontamination of hospital facilities and equipment, from wards and ICU's, to Category III laboratories. HPV is also effective against Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The efficacy of the process is validated using Tyvek® pouched 6-log Geobacillus stearothermophilus (spore) biological indicators. Bioquell can provide Q-10 equipment purchase (including training) or a number of decontamination service options as part of an infection control programme. When considering which decontamination method to choose, there are several factors which need consideration:
